My husband was adopted in the early 1960's as a baby in New England. We married 20 years ago, and all that tome we thought he must be Irish maybe German. But he just didn't know. He was inspired to do a DNA test and found he was nearly 100% Irish. Our two teenage sons and my husband and I decided it was time, so we went to Ireland in November. We had a wonderful week long trip and while in Dublin on our last day, I stopped in to a shop to pick up a little token of our time in a place we now also consider our homeland. A new and true fondness for a place is one of life's most magical feelings. We visited exceptional places, met great people, no one might have guessed, and couldn't plan ... we didn't plan to fall in love with Ireland's beautiful heart. But we did. And can't wait to go back.
